June 2008: GB Solutions Charity Walk
Local leading specialist recruitment agency GB Solutions spent mid-summers day above Cheltenham walking to raise money for three Gloucestershire charities.
The 21st of June (mid-summers day) saw local specialist recruiters GB Solutions dust off their walking boots for another Sponsored walk. The GB Solutions team walked over ten miles through the Gloucestershire countryside to raise money for three local charities Winston’s Wish, Acorns Children’s Hospice and Teckels Animal Sanctuary.
GB Solutions Director Paul Blower said “Once again the GB team did their bit for charity by taking on the ten mile challenge over the heights of Crickley and Leckhampton. It was a great success and although there were some tired legs towards the end of there were still lots of smiling faces! The three charities listed were chosen by Mike Goode, Sarah Bytheway and Lucy Barnfield of GB Solutions for reasons close to their hearts and also to make a difference to the future lives of children and unwanted pets in Britain.”
Kate Acutt, Corporate Partnerships Executive at Winston’s Wish said “We are very proud to have the support of GB Solutions and most grateful to the team for giving up their own time to raise money on behalf of three very worthwhile charities. We are well aware of the time and effort that it takes to organise such an event and are very gratfeul to everyone involved. The money raised on our behalf will go directly towards our work with bereaved children and their families.”
Joan Barratt, Chairman of Teckels Animals Sanctuaries said “Its great to receive support from a local company such as GB Solutions, their staff have been really involved in helping Teckels raise money and continue to make a difference to the lives of many animals in Gloucestershire”.
Andy Jarrett, Community Fundraiser for Acorns in Gloucestershire said "It is wonderful that the team at GB Solutions have arranged and participated in this walk to raise funds for three excellent local charities. We all rely so much on the generosity of such supporters to carry on providing our vital help to local families and animals in need".
