Illustrations Specialist
An opportunity has arisen for an Illustrations Specialist to join our prestigious Gloucestershire based client. Working as part of the Business Development function the main duties of the role will involve:
• Specifying and maintaining appropriate functionality for new business illustration systems
• Specifying and maintaining the content and wording of new business illustration systems, liaising with Compliance as appropriate to ensure that they are in accordance with FSA Rules and guidelines
• Managing the relationships with all third parties involved with the new business illustration systems
• Liaising with Product Actuarial to ensure that the figures shown on illustrations are correct and in accordance with FSA Rules and guidelines
• Liaising with Corporate Marketing to ensure that the ‘look and feel’ of all illustration output and functionality of any externally facing illustration systems is consistent with any appropriate guidelines and that it is ‘fit for purpose’
• Liaising with the appropriate Product Technical Specialists to ensure that any relevant wording, etc accurately reflects the relevant product
• Liaising with Change Management in the implementation of changes to the illustration systems (including testing)
• Liaising with IT to ensure that the systems architecture, etc for illustration systems is fit for purpose
• Ensuring that appropriate controls and procedures are in place to minimize risk
• Maintaining an error and breaches log for the new business illustration systems and to escalate to Compliance when necessary
• Keeping up-to-date with changes to legislation and FSA Rules and guidelines that impact the new business illustration systems and to notify the business of the impact of any changes to be introduced
• Championing brand values and TCF
Job Related Experience, Qualifications & Skills
Job related experience:
• Proven track record in developing and maintaining new business illustration systems (3+ years) with B2B experience (E).
• Demonstrable knowledge of relevant products (E).
• Experience of developing life and pensions products (D).
Minimum Qualifications:
• Certificate in Financial Planning (or equivalent) (E).
Skills/knowledge:
• Up-to-date with relevant FSA rules (E).
• Basic understanding of the taxation of life and pension products (E).
