Marketing Content Manager – Maternity Cover

Salary up to £35,000 + £6k car allowance & excellent benefits package

This role is at the hub of activity in our client’s multi million pound business. You will be developing content across all marketing channels to support demand from a network of clients and internal stakeholders. The individual will be a key contact for all content requirements and is expected to deliver an end to end service, from understanding and challenging the initial brief to final copy. The job holder will lead content requirements on key projects across the business and help reposition the business as a market leader

Responsibilities:

  • Develop content across all marketing channels, ensuring appropriate tone of voice and considering cultural differences where applicable (e.g. Asia market)
  • Lead editor across all websites, digital assets and communications
  • Lead editorial development and content production for In House magazine
  • Understand and timely execute briefs by creating, sourcing and editing content in response to the requirements of the internal client
  • Collaborate with relevant specialist team to ensure the content compliments the design and channel
  • Ensure campaign content is integrated across all channels and enhances client journey
  • Collaborate and align with PR activity, corporate communications and the wider business strategy
  • Participate in key projects and own the content requirements for collateral
  • Define the schedule and timeline of work and prioritise appropriately to meet deadlines
  • Support the management team with the selection and management of external copy suppliers/agencies

General responsibilities:

  • Understand the target market and appropriate advice/technical proposition
  • Adhere to the brand guidelines at all times, especially style and tone of voice
  • Capture and record daily delivery and project progress against plan
  • Proactively drive best practice and continuous improvement opportunities
  • Inform and educate the wider business by communicating specialist skill sets and value of the team
  • Actively support the development and management of MI across the team

Required skills:

  • Significant experience in content editing and writing, ideally in a marketing agency and financial services industry
  • Relevant university qualification (BA/BSc)
  • Understanding of and enthusiasm for copywriting and marketing
  • Excellent knowledge of literary conventions and grammar
  • Excellent proof reading and copy-editing skills
  • Excellent knowledge of target market and financial advice proposition
  • Strong relationship management
  • Proactive with a collaborative approach
