Responsible for the management of a small team who handled all aspects of running a small but busy office while supporting remote sites depending on our IT systems.
Direct management of a support staff of 3, and responsibility for: administration, IT, finance and accounts, marketing and customer relations. Management of tendering process for new business.
The financial responsibilities of this role included managing the day to day accounts processes such as: all general banking and payroll related administration; maintaining sales and purchase ledgers; arranging invoicing and purchase orders; the reconciliation of sub-contractor invoices with all relevant activity schedules and orders including preparing payment recommendations; preparation of VAT returns and preparing monthly accounts for external accountant.
