Common Interview questions after Uni

If you’ve read our how to format your graduate CV you’ll know the next step is the all important interview. As you’ve been at Uni for the past 3+ years, you may not be familiar with the types of questions you’ll be asked, so we’ve listed 10 common interview questions you may be faced with following Uni, for you to have a go at answering:

Describe how you have built relationships with other people in an organisation, outside of your immediate team?

What do you consider to be your main weakness?

Tell me about a challenge or conflict you’ve faced and what you did?

What’s a time you disagreed with a decision and how did you handle it?

Please can you give me an example of a time at work when you had a project or task that you had to accomplish but you did not have sufficient information, guidance or direction – what did you do you get the project/task completed?

Can you explain to us your understanding of what we do here

Tell me about a time when you made a mistake or did not achieve what was expected. What action did you take and what was the outcome?

Tell me about a time at work when you have had to adapt to a new situation. How did you manage this?
