Hybrid (Stroud Office) 

£32,000 basic and £12,500 annual on target commission

 

We have an exciting opportunity for an Energy Consultant to join a rapidly expanding business sales team with a key green and eco-friendly client.

The Energy Consultant will be responsible for developing the intermediary channel in line with forecasted growth and delivering effective account management for a portfolio of existing and new intermediaries in order to drive new business.

This is a broad role which combines an element of selling and relationship management, often at a senior level and with internal stakeholders. As the Energy Consultant, you will be expected to influence the wider B2B sales strategy, focusing on maximising sales efficiencies and introducing new products and services to meet overall B2B plan.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Aid in development of the intermediary strategy and supporting change where necessary
  • Provide quotations from the initial tender, through the negotiation and acceptance stages
  • Create and communicate compelling new ideas whilst gaining the support of senior management
  • Work with other departments to cross promote the company brand and products
  • Act as the primary liaison for Intermediaries and direct customers when required up to a senior level
  • Develop and implement new ideas when approaching a new client base
  • Work with the commissions team to implement bespoke arrangements to gain acquisition of new clients where required – some of which may be complex
  • Support the launch of new products and services – taking any opportunity to cross-sell
  • Support back-office in providing aftersales support and customer care
  • Attend off-site client meetings and events when required
  • Play an integral role in new business pitches, and securing of contracts 

 

Skills/ Experience: 

  • Strong communication skills at all levels both written and verbal
  • Awareness of Intermediary B2B energy markets
  • Analytical ability to assess and interpret data and identify opportunities
  • Ability to develop and manage client relationships at all levels
  • High level of numeracy and problem-solving ability
  • Strong networking & relationship building skills – both externally and internally
  • Self-driven and results orientated
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
