Equipment Sales Executive

£20,000 – £23,000, plus up to £5,000 bonus

Near Cheltenham

Our award winning, UK leading client, who specialise in the facilities and equipment market, is looking for an Equipment Sales Executive to join their expanding sales team.  They distribute not only in the UK but across the world and have won multiple industry awards.

Working specifically within the events team key duties will include:

  • Sales enquiries from potential customers, ensure you understand their specific requirements and develop these to a sale
  • Client visits as and when required
  • Identify opportunities for multi-year deals with clients, including repeat customers and any new customers as appropriate
  • Keep the pipeline report up to date with live opportunities including the close date, delivery date and value
  • Follow up on brochure requests promptly and complete call backs on a daily basis
  • Make effective use of all internal systems to produce quotations, designs and other project specific information and issue these to the potential customer promptly
  • Research competitors’ products, pricing policy and current activity
  • Proactively develop new business opportunities and markets by telephoning new prospective customers, networking, reading trade journals and Internet research
  • Ensure cross-selling and up-selling opportunities are maximised and referrals passed to other departments
  • Work as part of the wider Sales and Marketing Teams to co-ordinate business development efforts within specific sectors or markets

Skills & Experience required of an Equipment Sales Executive:

  • A proven track record in Sales would be beneficial but no experience will be considered
  • Articulate and a fluent communicator in writing, on the telephone and in person
  • Incredible eye for detail and a desire to ‘get it right first time’
  • Tenacious and ambitious, wanting to work hard and contribute immediately
  • Confident learning new technology
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Self-motivated, with the necessary drive to win and convert
  • A self-starter with ability to work alone with minimal supervision
