A rapidly growing international manufacturing business is looking to hire an Inventory Controller / Analyst. The successful Inventory Controller will be responsible for maintaining an accurate physical stock system, as well as supporting the company with their monthly and annual cycle count.



  • Generate monitor and report on KPIs for all global inventory, including identification and disposition of slow-moving stock
  • Assist the Warehouse & Distribution Manager with the annual stock count and associated cycle counts
  • Advise and set re-order point figures for stock, to ensure continuity of supply, and on time delivery performance
  • Ensure accuracy of Business & Warehouse Management Systems against physical stock positions, leading understanding of variance root causes and implementing associated corrective and preventive actions
  • Lead development of the Warehouse Management Systems, including being the Warehouse Management Systems Champion, advising on best practice and future opportunities
  • Ensure quarantined parts are clearly segregated from clean inventory, supporting regular review and disposition activities to ensure timely and effective management
  • Work with Quality function to ensure that defective supplied inventory is returned to supplier via correct process, and any follow up actions are completed
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities related to inventory and warehouse activities
  • Assist in economic batch size calculations to optimise both WIP/Finished Stock Storage and Product Shipment


Skills/ Experience:

  • Inventory management and reporting within an ERP / MRP environment
  • Ideally you will have experience in a high volume, high stock turn manufacturing environment with JIT knowledge
  • Demonstrated knowledge of stock control systems
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Highly IT literate and analytical
  • Methodical approach to problem solving
  • Confident at presenting data to a senior level audience
