Finance Analyst

£24,000 – £28,000 + generous benefits package

We are currently seeking a dynamic Finance Analyst to join our respected client, a prominent organisation in the financial sector. With offices in the heart of Cheltenham they offer a fantastic work space whilst also allowing employees flexibility with their hybrid working model. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the finance team’s success, providing crucial support to the Finance Manager.

 

The successful candidate will ideally be part-qualified AAT or possess equivalent experience. Demonstrating a customer-focused approach, you’ll excel in prioritisation and deadline management, showcasing effective communication and teamwork. Proficiency in MS Excel/Word/Outlook is a must with this role.

 

Joining our client’s finance team means embarking on a journey of professional growth and development. As a Finance Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining accounting records, processing journals, reconciling balance sheets, and more. This position offers exposure to diverse responsibilities, contributing to the preparation of management accounts, dashboards, and key performance indicators. Engage in forecasting cash analysis and levies while fostering strong relationships within the wider team and third parties.

 

Responsibilities:
– Maintain accounting records
– Process approved journals and reference data on the ledger
– Reconcile balance sheet items
– Settle payments and monitor outstanding invoices/statements
– Issue sales invoices/statements and resolve outstanding balances
– Handle receipts, banking, and matching to debts
– Monitor cash movements and balances
– Assist in preparing and distributing approved deliverables, including management accounts and forecasts
– Document, follow, review, and update procedures and controls
