As a leading name in the industry, our client is currently in search of a talented and dedicated Financial Controller to join its Finance team on a 13-month contract.
Play a key role in financial excellence, delivering monthly accounts, supporting processing, and actively participating in audits. Beyond technical skills, align with a commitment to ethical business, sustainability, and fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.
- Monthly delivery of crucial financial summaries and management reports
- Expertise in monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Proactive investigation and clarification of budget variance discrepancies
- Leadership in year-end accounting processes for statutory audit readiness
- Strategic collaboration with departments and the management team for financial decision-making
- Effective oversight of cash management, treasury operations, and monthly payroll processes, including supervision of an Accounts Assistant
- Efficiently work to deadlines and effectively prioritise workloads, showcasing deadline management skills
- Demonstrate excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Utilise strong IT skills, numerical problem-solving abilities, and proficiency with Excel
- Leverage highly organised nature with a keen attention to detail and accuracy
- Possess a CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualification
- Bring valuable experience using an ERP system or financial system with EMS and eCommerce integration
- Demonstrate previous experience in a retail or similar environment, highlighting industry-specific expertise
