They work across a variety of sectors including military, public and the private sector.

The successful Technical Support Engineer will have a basic understanding of optical fibre and a willingness to stay ahead in the ever-evolving telecommunication industry. You will be a team player who thrives on creative problem-solving and possesses excellent fault resolution skills.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Showcase your specialist knowledge in optical fibre
  • Evaluate the technical landscape with power meters and scanners
  • Conduct comprehensive testing and document your findings accurately
  • Lead the charge in fault finding methodology and manage the entire fault ticket process
  • Support small turnkey projects and contribute to innovative remote management platforms

 

Skills/ Experience:

  • HNC level or above in telecommunications
  • Eligibility for UK security clearance
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work autonomously or as part of a dynamic team
  • A knack for training others and transferring your skills seamlessly
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to a cutting-edge environment
  • Previous telecommunications-related courses/qualifications will be a bonus!
