Head of Commercial Finance

£80,000 + bonus

Gloucester – Hybrid (2 days needed in Gloucester office)

12-month FTC

As the Head of Commercial Finance, you will have the opportunity to shape and drive financial strategy within a forward-thinking organisation. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, providing commercially sound advice to support business objectives.

  • Lead the production of the 3-year budget and reforecasts, ensuring timely completion to meet reporting deadlines
  • Develop and implement a finance business partnering model to ensure regular reporting and analysis is provided to the business
  • Act as a liaison between the business and finance/corporate development teams, ensuring alignment of activities and priorities
  • Provide financial rigor for key business initiatives, such as product launches, ensuring preparedness across systems, people, and processes
  • Oversee capital expenditure evaluation and monitoring processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
  • Align commission policies and support strategic sales opportunities
  • Manage revenue and cost assurance frameworks, educating employees on standards and procedures


Skills/ Experience:

  • CIMA, ACA, or ACCA qualified with extensive PQE
  • Experience in a commercial or IT driven business would be a big help but not essential
  • Strong planning and analytical skills, with the ability to provide commercially sound advice
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a proactive and adaptable approach
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritise workload effectively
