As a VAT Controller, you’ll have responsibilities such as preparation, reviews, monitoring colleagues and staying updated with changes in VAT legislation, this role offers more than just routine work.

Responsibilities:
- Perform data input and ensure the accuracy of financial records
- Analyse debtors and creditors to facilitate effective financial management
- Manage VAT reconciliation, including preparation and filing of VAT Returns
- Provide VAT advice to clients and colleagues, ensuring compliance with regulations
- Review VAT returns to identify and rectify discrepancies
- Oversee VAT filing deadlines and workflow to ensure timely submissions
- Maintain quality control in bookkeeping practices, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Respond to client queries, providing timely and informative support
- Maintain organised online filing systems for financial documentation
- Take notes and compile write-ups to document financial activities and processes
- Prepare management accounts to provide critical financial insights
Skills/Experience:
- Proven experience in VAT compliance and management
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
